AMD's Processors nowadays does not need praising. This CPU is just fantastic. Especially in my gaming times.

I wasnt expecting much from this. I had a 5800 x which got damaged so I got this for replacement upgrading anyway to future proof my build for the medium term. I have found that whilst the frame rates and benchmarks at 4k are about the same, there is generally an apparent speed and performance increase with a smoother sense about is functioning. Worth considering if you value your high end quality advantages then.

Great processor. Coming from a Ryzen 5 to Ryzen 9 I didn't think I would notice too much of a difference though its massively noticeable and has given my PC a new lease of life.

With the ROG STRIX motherboard this was easy to instal and has contributed to a much faster PC.

Anxious about installing this myself, But after taking the required measures anti static strap and reviews from YouTube found install very easy even having to review how to remove Cooler master 212 air cooler, Everything went to plan now have an uprated cpu which runs everything very nicely.

Absolutely amazing cpu I upgrade from ryzen 5 to the 9 and you can throw anything at it runs lovely and quick very happy

This was bought as an upgrade for my PC. Performs well for my gaming needs at 1440p and paired with an RTX 3070. Was easy to install. I have noticed an improvement to performance in the games I play and was a good price due to there being money off the item. Doesn't come with a cooler in the box so this is an extra requirement, unless you already have one. Good experience and would be happy to buy another AMD CPU in the future.

Perfect upgrade. I intended on purchasing the 5800x3d, but my pc gave up so snagged this on a recent deal. Excellent value for money. 100 cheeper than the equivalent intel or even the new 5800x3d.

Absolutely fantastic CPU, also got it from CCL. Honestly the only company I got to to get components these days as they are very trust worthy and honestly they don't over price the parts as well as sending the parts really quick for what others have done. My CPU works fantastically although for anyone with the ROG Strix motherboards and it seems that the CPU won't work just update your BIOS to the latest version and it will be fixed and everything will work perfectly

Runs really fast. built my first pc since 10 years ago. really big difference compared to my old i5-2320. product came with all my other orders.

CCL were quick to deliver however, after buying a Ryzen 5900x at top prices I found that just after that they dropped the price 65 quid. Not to happy about that frankly. I have no idea about other ideas about how they will deal with problems if they crop up but hopefully there will be none as I have yet to build my system and so the CPU is still boxed and untested as of yet.

This is the first AMD CPU I've owned for nearly 20 years! It's taken AMD a long time to get there, but the 5900X and 5950X really are the best consumer CPUs. Performance is excellent for pretty much every use-case and the memory compatibility issues that affected previous Zen CPUs is long gone. It does run hot (in spikes), so a decent cooler is an absolute must. I've not seen any thermal throttling in real-world usage (during long AAA gaming sessions, for example), but I wouldn't recommend a lower-end cooler for this. On the subject of gaming, the 5900X actually out performs the 5950X in many games, which was pleasantly surprising (a friend has the 5950X). The ONLY drawback, which may or may not be relevant for most users, is that it doesn't play well with older operating systems under VMWare or Virtual Machine (see google for details). It's a very minor issue, but useful to know if you spend a lot of time with VMs and older OSs.

Can reach 85C with a 240mm AIO and I would only give 5 stars for value if it really shocked the market- but does exactly what I was hoping for.

After spending A LOT of time researching I opted for this over 3950 and 5900 and the new Intel i series chips. My old i7 from 2016 couldn't cope with Star Wars Squadrons. The bang for the buck is awesome and the PCIe4 support with a faster M.2 drives is a game changer Vs my old SSD setups. Being able to get Ryzen tuned 3600 RAM is great. Also opted to move from fanless cooling to AIO cooler, and am very happy with it. Runs circa or sub 40 degrees C. I'm now pegged on GPU which is another problem, but happy to ride out supply/demand as can now easily game all the new titles on the old graphic card and things are like a new, happier experience.

An expensive piece of kit. This is my first major upgrade since 2017, so I went all in. This processor is ridiculously fast. It boosts my gaming (1440p) quite substantially. I don't see any slow down anymore. If you are looking for a gaming specific CPU, I'd recommend going with the 5600x as it provides about the same gaming benefits as this CPU. If you are doing other CPU intensive work then I'd recommend this CPU. The Ryzen 5000 series is pure gaming bliss!
