Custom Build of the Week #1 - ASUS Rampage X99 Build

This build is in a whole different league when it comes to PC performance. Featuring an Intel Extreme i7 6950X with 10 cores and 20 threads coupled with a GeForce GTX 1080 Ti.

Combining power and style this build is a fantastic start to our CCL Custom Build of the Week series of blog posts!

Featuring an ASUS RAMPAGE V EDITION 10 X99 motherboard, Intel Extreme Core i7 6950X processor, Corsair Dominator Platinum desktop memory, GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Founders Edition and a stylish NZXT Kraken X52 cooler which sits nicely next to the NZXT AER RGB 120mm Fan. Adding to the overall interior aesthetic is the NZXT Hue+ RGB lighting. Powering the build is an XFX XTS1000 1000W 80+ Platinum Modular power supply with exclusive SolidLink technology which drastically reduces the wires inside the PSU improving efficiency and decreasing heat.

For storage we have a 4TB Western Digital Black edition hard drive and a 512GB M.2 Samsung 960 PRO with up to 3500MB/s read and 2100MB/s write speeds.

We cannot think of a more suitable case to house all these components than a Cooler Master MasterCase Maker 5t with dual tempered glass panels to admire the interior. You can truly customise this case to suit your every need, with plenty of upgrade options available. Although we doubt this will happen anytime soon with the current spec! The MasterCase Maker 5t also features a graphics card holder to eliminate that GPU sag.
